This Privacy Policy explains what information NoMeet collects when you use the NoMeet Chrome extension and nomeet.us (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. NoMeet is operated by MixCommerce ("NoMeet", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. If you register with an email address and password instead, we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password; we never store your password in plain text. When your account is created, we also record the city, state, and country we derive from your IP address at that moment, the same way we do for Feedback below.
Recordings and derived content. The video files you record or upload, the automatic transcript generated from them, and, on the Business Plus plan, the AI-generated summary, action items, chapters, Minutes of Meeting, and any Meeting Chat questions and answers tied to that recording.
Usage and device information. Your IP address, browser and device type, and pages you visit, collected automatically for security, rate limiting, and analytics.
Feedback. If you submit the public Feedback form, we store the star rating and note you provide, along with the city, state, and country we derive from your IP address at the time of submission.
Reviews. If you submit a public review, we store the name, role, star rating, and comment you provide, and publish them once approved.
Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment provider, Paddle.com, collects and processes your payment details directly. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and which plan it is for, never your full card number.
2. How we use it
- To provide the Service: store and serve your recordings, generate transcripts and AI features, and enforce your sharing and privacy settings.
- To operate your account: sign you in, send email verification and password reset links, and send billing receipts and plan notifications.
- To keep the Service secure: detect and prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, and investigate suspicious activity.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
- To moderate public Feedback and Reviews submissions before anything is published.
- To understand how the Service is used, so we can improve it, using the analytics tools described below.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your recordings or transcripts to train AI models.
3. AI processing
When you or your recording's owner uses AI Meeting Intelligence or Meeting Chat, the relevant transcript text, and the specific question asked in Meeting Chat, is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, solely to generate the summary, action items, chapters, Minutes of Meeting, or chat answer you requested. We send transcript text, not the raw video file. AI features are only available, and only ever run, for recordings whose owner is on a plan that includes them, and can be turned off for an account entirely; see our Terms for how AI output should be treated.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only in these situations:
- Service providers we rely on to run NoMeet: Cloudflare (video and file storage), OpenAI (AI transcript analysis and Meeting Chat), Google (sign in), Paddle (billing), Google reCAPTCHA (abuse prevention on public forms), and our email delivery provider (account and billing emails). Each only receives the information it needs to perform its function.
- People you choose to share with: whoever you invite to a recording, folder, or Team, and anyone you give a recording's link to, according to the visibility setting you choose for that recording.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of NoMeet, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: if NoMeet is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in; it is required for the Service to work and cannot be turned off while staying signed in. We also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use nomeet.us, including anonymized session and interaction data; you can block these using your browser's cookie or tracking controls without affecting your ability to use the Service.
6. Data retention
We keep your recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated content for as long as your account exists, or until you delete that specific recording. When you delete a recording, we remove the underlying file from storage. When you close your account, we delete your account data and recordings, except where we are required to keep certain records (for example, billing records) for a longer period by law. Superadmin actions on accounts and recordings are kept in an audit log for security purposes.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls on our infrastructure, and an audit trail for administrative actions on accounts and recordings. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
You can access, download, or delete your recordings at any time from your account. You can close your account entirely from account settings or by emailing support@nomeet.us. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to object to certain processing, or to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email above and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
We and the service providers listed above may process and store information in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect information transferred internationally.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app.
